I’m happy to announce that I finally managed to install the HLstatX Community Edition plugin on my Dusty Mice Purgatory (tf2) server, which allows tracking people’s statistics. The statistics can be accessed in-game, or here on my website. You can find the link HERE, as well as on the right side of the website next to the server IP address.

The other thing I want to talk about (for quite a while now) is the problem with players who are „too good” at this game. Don’t laugh at this, of course they have every right to be good if they’ve played x thousand hours. The problems start when these people take themselves way too seriously on a casual fooling-around orange server, and completely humiliate casual players (who usually have at most 1-200 hours).

Seriously, what’s the skill in farming kills on a completely new, F2P player? With this kind of attitude, you can completely ruin a server’s community. If someone wants to tryhard, I recommend the regular vanilla Hungarian pub servers, I can name five off the top of my head. They welcome with open arms anyone who can sticky-spam with both hands and has a crit medic. I emphasize that this is not a competitive server, if you get off on making others rage, then get out and move to another server!

I’d also add to today’s picture that naturally these casual players immediately cry cheat when someone is better than them. You have to forgive that, that’s just how the game is, please, at least be smart enough not to take these things personally. The admins know whether you’re cheating or not anyway, it’s not the players’ shouting that’s going to get you banned. And it’s obviously the biggest scumbag move if someone keeps trash-talking after kills on top of that.

You’re good at shooting? Fine. Shoot. But don’t stir up a shitstorm, or I’ll kick you from the server, whoever you are.

p.s. this wasn’t just directed at you, you were just the last drop in the glass
