A few months ago I was foolish enough to update my Air to 8.1, despite having a perfectly set up 7.1.2 jailbroken with all my favorite tweaks installed. I could tolerate 8.1 up until now, so I decided to downgrade back to 7.1.2.

Here’s the guide on how to do it:

If your iPad is not jailbroken:

Step 1: Download the iOS version matching your iPad version from the downloads page.

Step 2: Connect your iPad to your computer, then open it in iTunes.

Step 3: Hold down Shift and click the Restore iPad button:

Step 4: In the popup menu, click the Restore button.

Step 5: Wait for the installation to complete and for iTunes to re-sync your apps.
